Lorna Downie firmly believes that, to be successful in any sport or activity – including activities of daily living, you must build a strong foundation. That foundation includes a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, and an exercise program that corrects imbalances.
When working with clients, Lorna assesses their diet and lifestyle, muscle imbalances, range of motion discrepancies, and postural issues to develop a customized and integrated program that includes modifications in all these areas.
Lorna has accumulated a number of certifications to enable her to take this organic approach: she was certified by the CHEK Institute as a Practioner and as a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach; she also earned her CAN FIT PRO certification as a Personal Trainer, her Twist Conditioning Certification, and is a Golf Practitioner, as well.
She specializes in rehabilitation, back care, sports performance for hockey and running, weight-loss, youth fitness and nutrition. Lorna is also an avid runner, hiker, weight lifter and cyclist.
