Running Coach / Strength Trainer
Darren has been running for 24 years – non-stop, it seems! Averaging 15 races each year, he participates in everything from half marathon to cross country and road races. His recent personal bests include 32:47 for 10km, 15:37 for 5km, 5th place in Toronto’s International Half Marathon and 6th place in Montreal’s Half Marathon. And in those pauses in between races, Darren has made it his business to excel at helping others achieve their personal bests. As a distance running coach for 12 years, he has helped develop a number of national level talents. In addition to his experiences as a Sports Injury, Rehabilitation, Treatment and Conditioning coach, he has his Level 3 NCCP, and is a Strength Specialist with particular emphasis on running and form training. He is also a Saucony sponsored athlete. Darren is still trying to set new personal bests, and is passionate about his work. “I absolutely love coaching athletes and everyday people to new levels of strength and running – levels they never thought they could achieve,” says Darren. “And I thrive on making that journey exciting for my clients.”
